This restaurant seamlessly blends authentic flavors with a welcoming atmosphere, making it an appealing spot for locals and visitors alike.

Specializing in traditional Nasi Kandar fare, the menu is highlighted by their succulent Chicken Tandoori, freshly made Roti Telur, Chapatti, and crispy Thosai. These dishes showcase a delicate balance of texture and flavor, with the bread options particularly praised for their fluffiness and crisp edges. Their Mango Lassi offers a refreshing counterpart to the spiced mains, while the Kuey Teow Goreng Ayam provides a delightful twist on familiar comfort food.

Its strategic position makes it a convenient stop for those visiting the park, especially fitness enthusiasts seeking a satisfying meal post-workout.

The experience goes beyond just food. Consistent mentions of attentive and heartfelt service reveal a team deeply committed to customer care. One branch manager’s genuine gesture of offering a seat to a struggling guest exemplifies the warmth and hospitality that elevate this place above typical dining outlets.

While the pricing is noted to be on the higher side compared to other Nasi Kandar establishments, many patrons find the quality and service justify the premium. Latest branch now open in kepong gi, next to metropolitan park. Price is slightly steep due to their brand name, their tosai and roti is not bad, quite fluffy and crispy and lots of seating place. Plus point is their close location to the lake.

Beautiful place.. Open 24hrs .. Food tastes really good.. Working staff are friendly and working hard to make an earning.. Strategic location at the side entrance of the Lake so, a perfect place to re-fill after workouts. One of the branch managers noticed I was struggling with my back-bag as I had no extra seat so, he brought one himself to me without even asking for it… this level of “customer service” and “attention” to customer needs is what made this place so special. .. offering another level of “ care “ than the average Malaysian restaurants. Thanks Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar team.. All the best.

Frequently eating here, nearby kepong metropolitan lake garden. Nice ambiance, good service. My favorite would be roti tisu, teh panas, nasi kandar, and garlic naan cheese tarik with Tandoori chicken. Quite pricey compared to other Ns kandar restaurants, please check the price first on the menu.

After reading some bad reviews here. I was quite hesitant to come too. But Surprisingly service was fast and their Nasi Kandar taste was so good with their Kuah campur Banjir (although not the best Nasi Kandar in town). We ordered onion chicken, fried bitter gourd, salted egg which just fresh and taste normal but their mutton and sotong was sooo tender and fresh! Another highlight is their Gigantic Roti Tissue, taste so good and crispy, looks like they are very generous with their ingredients full of planta and coated nicely with sugar.

OK but service delivery can be very much improved. Overall is OK n nothing exceptional. Parking were quite limited as those that go for a jog on the park parks their vehicle here too.
